“Politics and Culture in Asia: A Comparative Study of Same-Sex Marriage in Japan and Taiwan” – Academic Symposium Successfully Concluded 

A delegation of 16 faculty members and students from the Faculty of Law at Okayama University visited our Institute for an academic exchange. Students from both universities jointly organized the symposium titled “Politics and Culture in Asia: A Comparative Study of Same-Sex Marriage in Japan and Taiwan,” which explored the differing social contexts and cultural perspectives surrounding same-sex marriage in Taiwan and Japan.

During the symposium, participants presented their research in Chinese, English, and Japanese, engaging in lively and insightful discussions. These exchanges not only deepened mutual understanding of the challenges faced by each society, but also highlighted their respective achievements. The dialogue further extended to broader issues, including equality and the development of human rights.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to all professors, presenters, and students who contributed to the success of this event. 「アジアにおける政治と文化──日本と台湾の同性婚比較」 研究発表会が無事に終了

岡山大学法学部の教員と学生16名が本校を訪問し、両校の学生が共同で「アジアにおける政治と文化──日本と台湾の同性婚比較」というテーマで、研究発表会を開催しました。台湾と日本における同性婚に関する異なる背景や文化的観念を探りました。会議では中国語、英語、日本語で論文が発表され、熱心な議論が行われました。これにより、双方の社会が直面している課題や今までの成果についての理解が深まり、平等と人権の推進に関する議論が行われました。

当日ご参加いただいた教授、発表者、そして学生の皆さまに感謝申し上げます。今後も両校の教員と学生が引き続き連絡を取り合い、更なる国際交流と協力の機会を推進できることを願っています。ありがとうございました！
